JAGA’s premier event renamed “JAGA Jacksonville Amateur presented by Synovus”
JACKSONVILLE, FL., Jan. 30, 2024 - The Jacksonville Area Golf Association announces Synovus as its first presenting sponsor of the 71-year-old not-for-profit organization’s premier championship. It will officially be called the “JAGA Jacksonville Amateur presented by Synovus.”
The tournament will be played for the 63rd time July 18-20, 2024, at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
“Today’s announcement is groundbreaking for JAGA,” said JAGA President Cary Helton of San Jose Country Club. “This partnership with Synovus marks the first presenting sponsorship agreement JAGA has entered for its showcase championship. New marketing opportunities such as this one are important to our future growth and to keep pace in today’s competitive, sophisticated and ever-costly marketplace.”
Synovus provides commercial and consumer banking, including a full suite of specialized products and services to meet the banking and financial needs of families, individuals and businesses across the southeast.
