Tom Dierdorff
Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate & Investment Banking
Dierdorff was named Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate & Investment Banking in November 2021. He has 30 years of financial services experience and previously served as Managing Director and Financial Services Group Head for Regions Bank and Regions Securities. At Regions, Dierdorff founded and ran the corporate finance and capital markets coverage effort for insurance companies, asset and wealth managers, broker dealers, and non-bank lenders, as well as private equity sponsors active in those sectors. Prior to Regions, Dierdorff led the insurance corporate & investment banking practice at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey for seven years. He also worked in financial institutions corporate & investment banking for nine years at Wachovia Securities and predecessor firms.

Affiliations
Dierdorff serves on the Board of Soccer in the Streets, and is active with numerous other charitable and civic organizations in Atlanta, including The Shepherd Center, The Piedmont Park Conservancy, The Cathedral of St. Philip, The Westminster Schools, and Woodward Academy.
Summary of Responsibilities
Dierdorff is responsible for overseeing, developing, and executing the strategic direction of Synovus' Corporate & Investment Banking functions in alignment with company objectives and goals. The Corporate & Investment Banking line of business delivers banking and capital markets solutions to larger, more complex, and select public and private equity-backed companies. The team is built around specific industry specialties to allow for customized and expert advice related to credit and depository products, syndicated and leveraged finance, interest rate derivatives, foreign exchange, debt and equity capital markets solutions, advisory services, treasury and payment solutions, corporate trust, and wealth management.
