Guy Leonard Sexton III

Len is Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman of Synovus Securities, Inc.  In 1973, Len received his BS degree in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee.  He graduated in 1979 from the Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt University and in 1983 from the School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.  He began his career in banking and investments in 1973. Len joined Synovus Securities in 1985 with the acquisition of Calumet Financial Associates.

Len has his Series 4, Series 7, Series 24, Series 27, Series 63, and Series 65 brokerage licenses.  He also has his life, disability, health, and variable products insurance licenses.

Len is a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, where he has served on the board of trustees, administrative board, finance committee, and the St. Luke school board.  He has also served on the board of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley, where he has acted as chair of the planned giving committee.  Additionally, Len has served on the advisory board of MercyMed of Columbus.  Len and his wife have two children and five grandchildren.
