Chatsworth, GA
Preserving a proud family legacy
In 1965, John Peeples founded Peeples Funeral Home with his brothers, Julian and Harlan, in downtown Chatsworth, Georgia. John and his wife, Frances, took full control of the business in the 1970s.
From the beginning, the company has grown and expanded, but two things remained constant. One, the family’s commitment to operate the business with integrity and compassion, and two, they've always banked at the Synovus location right across the street.
In 2012, John and Frances handed the business down to their daughters, Amy Herndon and Valerie Talley. They and their husbands, Jerry and Mark, now continue the tradition of helping the families of Murray County during difficult times.
"In our business, we understand and respect that every family is unique, and has personal requests and traditions. The Synovus team in Chatsworth approaches banking with a similar mindset, which is why we’ve been banking with them for 52 years."
After 52 years, why do they continue to bank with Synovus?
“We appreciate the friendly, professional staff at our local branch. They promptly address any concerns or requests that we have. We know many of them personally and consider them to be good friends,” says Wesley Herndon, Amy and Jerry’s son, who is the company’s business manager. “Synovus has helped us finance several projects over the last 52 years, and we hope to continue our relationship for many years to come.”
Here at Synovus, we can help your business thrive too. Stop by a Synovus location near you and get to know us.
