Meredith Malcom

Market President

A native of Savannah, Meredith is a graduate of The University of Georgia and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. She began her banking career in 1992 at The Tokai Bank, Ltd. Atlanta Agency where she served as a Japanese Corporate Loan Officer. After moving to Monroe in 1997, she joined NBWC (now Synovus) where she has since served for 28 years in the roles of treasury management representative, retail bank executive, commercial banker, community executive and currently as Market President. Meredith has served in many leadership roles throughout her career and remains an active member and volunteer in the Walton County community and throughout the State of Georgia.

Joy Carr

Retail Market Manager
Loganville

Since joining Synovus in 1999, Joy has spent virtually her entire financial services career serving clients in Walton and Monroe Counties. She and her husband live in Walnut Grove, GA, with their youngest daughter (the eldest daughter is married) and their golden doodle and “best buddy,” Hudson. A 2013 graduate of the Retail Banking School, Joy enjoys volunteering with her church.

Ann Underwood

Retail Market Manager
Monroe

Ann has been with Synovus (originally NBWC) since 1997 and has served in multiple roles in both retail and commercial banking primarily in our locations in Walton County. After a few years serving in a sales leadership role in the Synovus Alabama region, she returned to Walton County and has most recently served as the Loganville Retail Market Manager and currently as the Monroe Retail Market Leader

Stuart Smith

Commercial Banker

Stuart joined Synovus in Monroe in 2017. He began his banking career in 2010 and has over 15 years of credit, lending, and banking relationship management experience. For him, banking is about more than just providing financial solutions, it’s about giving back to our local communities with our time and by investing in the local markets we serve. A Georgia native, Stuart earned his bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Georgia and his MBA from Georgia Southern University. He and his wife, son, and daughter, live in Monroe, where he enjoys spending time with his family, watching UGA football, and playing golf.

Leslie Watson

Mortgage Banker

A native of Walton County, Leslie earned a bachelor’s in Business from the University of Phoenix. Leslie started her career in banking and finance in 2005 and joined Synovus in March of 2018 as Mortgage Loan Originator for the Walton County market. As a Mortgage Banker, she utilizes her knowledge and expertise to assist clients through the mortgage loan process. Leslie and her husband daughter and son in Madison, where they enjoy spending time with family, hunting, and being outdoors.
