Creating more unforgettable moments

Synovus Park has a rich history, having hosted 20 National Baseball Hall of Famers over the years, as well as softball during the Centennial Olympic Games in 1996. In their first season, the Clingstones added to that history by treating fans to a winning combination of action-packed games, fun in-game promotions, brilliant fireworks and tasty concessions. All signs point toward this season being just as thrilling.

A young woman sings the national anthem behind home plate before the start of a Columbus Clingstones game at Synovus Park.

“At Synovus, we’ve called Columbus home for more than 135 years. Supporting the Clingstones is about more than baseball. It’s about backing a team that embodies our shared values of hard work, perseverance and unity.”

— Kevin Blair, Chairman, CEO and president of Synovus

Columbus Clingstones mascot Fuzzy, who has a peach for a head, helps two men hold up a large check for seven thousand dollars representing donations raised for Synovus Slams. The bank donated one thousand dollars for each grand slam home run by the Clingstones in their inaugural season at Synovus Park.

Touching all the bases for our community

For the inaugural season, Synovus contributed $1,000 to local Little League® baseball and softball organizations in Columbus and Whitesburg Christian Academy in Huntsville, AL. for each grand slam the Clingstones hit at Synovus Park or on the road. It was a hit, with a total of $7,000 raised. Given its success, the Synovus Slam program returns this season to continue supporting youth athletics.

“Synovus Park combines 100 years of history with the modern state-of-the-art ballpark features the Columbus community deserves. The inaugural season was special in so many ways and, together with Synovus, the Clingstones look forward to creating magical memories on the banks of the Chattahoochee River for years to come.”

— Pete Laven, Clingstones General Manager
